Our Story

Our Origins

Our story began in 2013 when we, Claire and Cam, were introduced by mutual friends at a school mixer at Chaminade. That first night, we ended up talking for hours, and a solid friendship formed. We hung out, laughed, and had a blast as friends for a few years. Then, in the fall of 2015, we decided to take things to the next level and finally started dating!

As our relationship grew, we started integrating each other into our lives. We introduced our families during holidays celebrated in St. Louis. Sharing meals, stories, and creating new traditions together brought us even closer.

High School Sweethearts

High school was a whirlwind of support and fun. Claire's volleyball games at Nerinx Hall High School became a must-attend event for Cam, while he played on the baseball field at St. Louis University High, with Claire cheering him on. We were each other's biggest fans!

Starting in fall of 2019, Claire pursued her degrees in data science and environmental science at Baylor, while Cam tackled design, business, and technology at USC. We navigated long-distance, cherishing the moments we could spend together. Whether it was studying side by side, binge-watching our favorite shows, playing tennis, or getting creative in the kitchen, we found joy in every moment shared.

Shared Love For Travel

Our love for adventure took us to incredible places. In 2016, we decided to get SCUBA certified in Grand Cayman, marking the start of our shared travel experiences. In college, we explored Austin, Los Angeles, San Diego, Phoenix, and Seattle, immersing ourselves in new cultures and embracing the thrill of discovery.

The summer of 2021 brought unforgettable adventures. We embarked on a national park road trip, where we hiked through Yosemite, Kings Canyon, Sequoia, and Joshua Tree. We found nature to be a peaceful getaway from the business of school and work, creating lasting memories in beautiful landscapes.

What's Next?

After years of hard work and dedication, we proudly graduated in 2023. It was a celebration of our individual achievements and a testament to our unwavering support for each other.

Looking ahead, we're thrilled about our upcoming move to San Francisco in August. It's a new chapter in our lives, and we can't wait to embark on this adventure together. But no matter where life takes us, St. Louis will always hold a special place in our hearts. It's where our story began, where our families reside, and where we'll return to celebrate our wedding and all the joyous moments that lie ahead.
